If you are looking for breakfast, lunch ideas or a healthy brunch then pay us a visit here at The Station House. Our interesting and varied brunch menu is all cooked to order by our chefs and served with ethically sourced, locally roast “hot Numbers” coffee.
Afternoon tea is served every day from 2pm with savoury sandwiches, sultana scone with cream and jam and a selection of homemade sweet treats. Prosecco cocktails can make for the perfect anniversary or birthday treat!

So my name is David and I have worked in hospitality since I left school. I have worked as a chef, bartender, barista and manager, likely in many of the restaurants you know and love around Cambridge over the past 20 years.
During lock-down 3.0 at the beginning of 2021 I was homeschooling my daughter Mila while flexi-furloughed from work (who had ever used the terms lock-down, home-school or furlough before 2020…). We used to go for walks each day to break up the day, and we would always play games spotting and counting things that had changed. She spotted one day that the hoardings around the building site at the former Histon Station had gone. She asked me what the building was going to be to which i replied “a cafe”. One thing lead to another and due to my daughters insistence I now have a beautiful new cafe called The Station House.

Hospitality done right! Running a business is all about deciding priorities. Here at The Station House that is making sure every soul is welcome. This means you, your child, grandmother and your pet (I say “pet” rather than “dog” as we have had cats and ferrets on leads too…). Don’t be surprised if we take our time getting to know you, it’s what we got into hospitality for!
Our aim with the food is simple but perfectly executed. We are aiming to make an excellent breakfast or lunch that would be far to much faff for you to do at home. Whether you are having it with the wonderful coffee from Hot Numbers or a Mimosa and Bloody Mary the philosophy is the same, Simple yet excellent.
